Welcome

The Park Hill Parent Teacher Association is a parent-led voluntary body whose main purpose is to raise money for our school. We are a registered charity (Number 1043652) and all of the funds raised go to supplement the school budget and pay for those little extras that make school a special experience.

All parents, carers and staff are automatic members of our PTA and are encouraged to get involved.

The PTA is run by an elected committee who organise meetings and share responsibility with members for planning and coordinating events. We aim to hold regular events throughout the year, such as a Quiz Night, discos and the Summer Fair, to bring people together, have some fun and raise money for a good cause.

The current committee members for 2021/2022 are:

We meet monthly to plan fundraising events and to discuss how to distribute the funds we raise, with smaller working groups meeting as and when necessary.

The funds that the Park Hill PTA raise are essential to our children's learning experience. During the 2019-2020 school year, the PTA provided grants of £4,241.47 for new books and bookshelves, coaches to the Birmingham Repertory Theatre and Park Hill branded reflectors for the children to wear whilst walking, biking or scooting to school. We raised the funds through activities like the Christmas Fair, Quiz Night, bingo nights, discos, movie nights and our night collecting with the Kenilworth Round Table Santa Sleigh. We also gratefully acknowledged a £1,000 matching contribution from Ernst & Young, which was arranged by a Park Hill parent.

New members are always welcome and if you can spare some time to help in any way, even if you can’t make the meetings, we would love to hear from you. All offers of help are always gratefully received no matter how big or small, from suggesting fundraising or social activities, helping to organise and run events or generally supporting the PTA activities through attendance or donations of raffle prizes etc.
