Volunteers and DBS Renewal

At Park Hill we feel that the involvement of parents in children's education is vital and we encourage active participation in many ways. Volunteers may be able to help on a regular basis and commit to a time slot each week whereas others may offer to help when required. In whatever way parents can offer their time, we are always extremely grateful. Some parents like to help in their own child's class and some prefer to help elsewhere in the school. Our volunteers are invaluable in assisting the teachers with general duties, helping in classrooms with activities such as reading, art and design, gardening ,swimming, themed weeks, sporting activities and the library or with educational visits outside the school.

It is school policy to require all of our volunteers working in school, and seen by the children as a trusted adult, to obtain Disclosure and Barring Enhanced Clearing (DBS).  Please follow the link below to apply.  This will take you through to the DBS section of the website.

If you do not have access to a computer, please call into the school office and we can do it with you on our computer.

Once you have applied online you will be given a unique reference number which you will need to bring into school with at least 3 proof of identity documents.

Please bring your DBS certifate into the school office once you have received it to enable us to note the number.

If you have any queries, please let us know.
