Governors

Governing bodies act as a corporate body, taking a strategic role in the development of the school, supporting and challenging the leadership team.

There are two committees which meet every term to discuss the schools' development priorities in "Children and Learning" and "Finance and Resources". These groups feed back to each other in the full Governing Body's termly meetings. Membership of all committees includes staff representatives and the executive head teacher.

The strategic development of the school is proposed in an annual improvement plan, building on strengths and assigning resources to develop the priorities identified. Individual governors are linked to each priority and work with the school leadership team to monitor and review progress.

Governors are responsible for agreeing the annual budget submission to the local authority and support the executive head teacher in the management of public funds.
